Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB976932)

These days a friend gave me as a gift an Aspire 5532 Windows 7, 64 bit, old machine for him good enough for me, since he bought a new one.

I am trying to install the kb976932 64 bit, but after googling for it in Microsoft sites I could not download it.

Please provide a link where I can download it.

Thanks for the help.

PS Windows update gave me this error, code 80073701

Hi friend,

My tip is not to waste your time with it.

Use this tool to download Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 integrated.

Then you can install the Convenience Rollup Update ( kb3125574 )

Have a nice day ! ;)

PS . I cannot reply very fast, I am in vacation, in Rio .^_^

Downloading, I will let you know the results when finished. Thanks all for the help.

Still struggling to update the SP1 file for Windows 7.

I decided that is easy to try to repair window 7 (not install).

My question, I downloaded and have a DVD with Window 7 Home Premium. When run the setup, the first option that appears is install Windows 7, not repair.

For what I have read so far this is going to install Windows 7 and lost everything, unless I backup.

My question how can I repair my Windows 7 Home Premium from a DVD with Window 7 in it.

Is this possible? If not how I do it. Googled for it but not sure how to do it, please.

Thanks for the help.

Tried almost everything, my last hope is restore it to its original contidition when bought.

Nothing can be install unless I install first Windows 7 sp1. It can not install due to sxs assembly error.

I would prefer to download a copy of windows 7 sp1 and I would do a clean install, due to the BS that the OEM put on the machines

The problem I have is that can not update Windows 7 sp1 due to sxs assembly error.  Not from Windows setup, not downloading sp1 and run it manually.
