But conspiracy theorists believe Snowden may be dead after his Twitter account sent out two cryptic messages. The first told supporters “It’s time” – followed by a second containing 64 characters of code. On Wednesday, Snowden wrote on Twitter: “Did you work with me? Have we talked since 2013? “Please recontact me securely. “It’s time.” Excited fans took the message to mean Snowden was about to release another expose of the US government. But then a tweet containing 64 apparently random letters and numbers was sent from the 33-year-old’s Twitter account on Friday. Both have since been deleted. The second Tweet, issued on Friday night came in the form of a 64-character code that some believed was a “dead man’s switch” designed to trigger a massive document release if Snowden failed to check into his computer at a certain time due to death or capture. The whistleblower has been public about the fact that he has distributed encrypted files to trusted journalists and associates in the event that something happened to him. Furthering concern for the whistleblower’s well being was the sudden take down of several major torrent websites without warning within minutes of Edward Snowden releasing the mysterious code. It's time." And it's not a mystery as to why he tweeted that. Gellman is writing a biography of Snowden, and he's gathering information for that book. Snowden also quoted a tweet by journalist and author Barton Gellman, who said that he is seeking information on Snowden's work in the intelligence community so he can write Snowden's biography, and "tell it truthfully." Gellman elaborated in an encrypted message: "I'm writing a book for Penguin Press called DARK MIRROR: Edward Snowden and the American Surveillance State. I want to hear from anyone who has first-hand information on either. It need not be some deep dark secret. I'm interested in your observations about Snowden's work and work habits at CIA, Dell, NSA and Booz; or his time in the Army; or in computer training courses; or the surveillance programs and practices he described. Even if he was dead he want be 1st too ever end up dead that messed with the US government that's what many conspiracy stories are based on and still no one really knows . Many conspiracy stories say people faked there own death even after they found a body . If I was in his shoes I would want to fake mine... But tell a body is found its to early to make such claims . It's a truecrypt password for a datadump, probably on some magnet URL. If Glenwald has not sold out (some of his posts make me wonder), it's probably just a small dump, not a kill-switch. <paranoid mode on> which could explain the trackers that have been taken down, they can scan the logs and see at least some of the people that downloaded it. There's the liberal media and the conservative media. The mainstream news you read on the internet is mostly conservative... Google has even been caught deleting a lot of liberal media from there search. then there's the independent news . This why you really cant find much of anything relevant anymore .most news is posted over and over the same story and most that debates it has been removed. And that's just local politics. If he did sell out, keeping his job would be the last of his worries. He'd probably be more worried if he should retire to Jamaica, the Bermudas or some other place. Tough choice, right ? But I didn't say he sold out, I said it was a possibility. OTOH, if Snowden IS dead, that would be a pretty good indication that Glenwald is "buying time" while certain documents are being aprehended and destroyed. He's the only one to come public and say Snowden is alive. Absolute silence from all the other guys/gals that directly supported Snowden. Give it time, and we will know if it's a hoax or not.
