no reaction from msconfig.exe

No, I don't need help to fix my problem, I just want to understand what can be the reason for the problem. I don't create any full backup. My way is a working image and the daily copy off important documents / settings. There are some files you can't copy / sync in normal mode and for that I have a shortcut

 

 

that worked all the time whiteout any problems. Today I wanted to use it but there is no reaction form msconfig.exe. If I try the same direct on msconfig.exe

 

 

there is also no reaction. If I restart the computer and use F8 the computer powers up in safe mode = must be a Windows ore whatever problem.

 

Any Idea what can be the reason for this?

 

and again - I don't want to fix it, I think it is time to restore the image and install the missing rest.I hate that  but it is the only way to be safe.

same happen to me with my previous 10 installation (reinstalled it 24 hours ago) 

 

i guess it must be an application that we both tried or something similar from here (nsane)

I fear that you are right, nsane is the only source for cracks etc. I use. It is a learning process = don't trust, be carefully and don't forget to enable shadow defender or use VM.

 

But a funny effect is, that Tweaking.com Windows Repair is able to boot in safe mode (installed under shadow defender just for testing this function)
