Hi dcs18

Try endpoint security for Eset or Kaspersky for a change. I been using it for years and so far, no complaints.

Drop me a line if you need any help on activation.

Regards.

witch version better endpoint or a home version?

Copy what vyzzer posted above — ESET Endpoint Antivirus is silky smooth and loaded with options which are much more granular than the V8 (of NOD32 which I was using earlier.)

It's better than even KAV 2019 (which I used for just a 2 days.)

  • 3 weeks later...

Used to have avast! free since 2007.
Then Kaspersky Free came out and avast! was showing some trouble and lags.
Using Kaspersky free latest version now, along with
Firefox + Adguard + Lastpass,
Comodo Secure Browser as a backup.

One of my client machines is actively rejecting Simple DnsCrypt — trying-out Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 on that system now.

The most important stuff in my opinion:

AutoCookieDeleter (even if it doesn't really fit in, is it worth to mention)
F-Secure VPN + Tor
MBAM (but I rarely use it)
Sandboxie
uBlockOrigin

But the top notch security system is your brain + common sense ;)

Substituted {Simple DnsCrypt + ESET Endpoint Antivirus + Windows Firewall Control (WFC)} with Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 — but, KIS 2019 conflicts slightly with AdGuard.

Then, substituted Simple DnsCrypt with Acrylic DNS Proxy — it encountered the same problem as Simple DnsCrypt (however, discovered the reason for the issue.)

Now, road-testing Windows 10 Firewall Control as a potential replacement for {Simple DnsCrypt + Windows Firewall Control (WFC.)}

  • 4 weeks later...

Interesting thread, let's see...

  • current Windows 10 (1809) with Windows Defender
  • Pi-hole network DNS filter
  • MVPS HOSTS in windows hosts file
  • DNS Digitalcourage censorshipfree server directly into Router
  • Adguard for Windows
  • Firefox with:
  1. protection against activitylogs enabled
  2. third party cookies disabled
  3. sending "Do Not Track"
  • Extensions:
  • uBlock Origin (it unblocks sited which get sblocks due of Adguard again), Cookie and Annoyance Filterlists
  • Decentraleyes
  • Cookie AutoDelete
  • Facebook Container
  • Tampermonkey:
    • Affiliate Killer (cleans the junk from URL)
    • FB Purity

  • Sandboxie
  • VeraCrypt
  • VMware
  • KeePass
  • and most important: brain.exe

Yep, feels pretty safe, but improvements always wanted :)

Windows 10 Firewall Control (W10FC) may not be the best firewall but it's truly fabulous — the ideal firewall companion to those who depend on AdGuard (or any such network-level apps & programs.) F3h9xqz.gif

The LockPref prevents clients from being able to change preferences on the Firefox GUI when set by the SysAdmin using LockPref:—
