BSPlayer was one of the more popular for a couple of years ago but now the ones who doesn't know anything about codecs or how to tweak use VLC and those that know and tweak use Media Player Classic - Home Cinema which comes with either K-Lite Codec Pack or Combined Community Codec Pack, I prefer K-Lite.

I'm stuck @ Itunes for my music... Does it job great :D

And movies go in the VLC/WMP Classic section :)

In Win 7, I stay with Windows Media Player. Surprise?

I never use Media Player when my OS is Vista or XP!

1) WMP at normal and the most used by me.

2) VLC For movies. Because of support for subs.

3) Real Player for special flvs only. ;)

4) Itunes for transferring songs to Ipod.

So my most used one is WMP.

What is this BS player you speak of? :D

Never used BS player before so no opinion on that but I normally use K-Lite Mega Pack with Media Player Classic. I also use CoreAVC codec instead of the default ffdshow in MPC for H.264/AVC CUDA accelerated playback.

Same here about the BS player.. (first opinion was: Bullsh*t player :lmao: )

Never used it, but they talk a lot about it :\

Media Player Classic... gets the job done, have never felt the need for some other media player, especially shareware (prefer good, free products). For the formats it can't handle, I use VLC Media Player.

I would have to say I use..I also downloaded the Flash CS4 update pack so that I could have it standalone and run on my system for various reasons...

1. Adobe Shockwave and Flash Player - the most, all the websites and pages...

2. Hulu Desktop - Online shows...

3. Media Player Classic Home Cinema- K-lite Codec Pack Full.. ( Mega always kills my AV for some reason )

4. Corel WinDVD 9 - Used to offer the BEST in quality video and sound for most of my video, couldn't break away

5. DivX - actually has improved since I first used it 5 years ago.. and I recently have files that must have it..

6. Windows Media Player - Good quality

7. Winamp - Like for everything..seems a bit fuzzy sometimes..

8. Adobe Media Player - I used this the least.. since CSI went on hiatus, I had no need for it...only use it for online stuff, I get better quality out of Hulu

9. Quick Time Player - I absolutely hate it but some people insist upon embedding it .. so I have it for that..

Players I will not use...

iTunes - I get sick of updating it, kills my lil' GPU...don't have an iPod.

Real Player - can someone say marketing and crap-ware? Too much junk and is slooooow

Zune - no need for it, and it requires better GPU for me to be able to use it on my system

FooBar - I was going to, but then I couldn't play video? Seemed okay, had some great skins out there..

Nero - Hated the Player skin, Media Home was gltchy, quality fell face down...

Interactive - You know the one they try to install from DVD? Had some issues with it not to mention it was limited in what it would play..Looked horrible..

There was a whole butt load of DVD Video Players I tried for my system out there...none of them I would use. Corel WinDVD just does it for me. Media Player Classic my second choice.

EDIT: Hulu Desktop Platform just updated.. had to correct it..

Count me in it. Even I don't have any respect for the player. :D

For movies, K-Lite which includes Media Player Classic. But always we end-up with both K-Lite & MPC tweaking its settings for best results, and it varies by system.

The best codec pack is "K-lite" with Qicktime Alternative and Realmedia Alternative.

The player is Media Player Classic Home Cinema with DXVA (H.264/AVC video acceleration)

I use THE KMPLAYER v.2.9.4.1436 . It has all codecs included and runs all kind of media-files.

With BSPlayer at least we can hear 857 Radio Stations from all over the World and some more figures I still have to explore .

For music I love the small proggy called "Foobar 2000", latest version 0.9.6.9

karachidude

Windows Media Player 11 along with the K-lite MEGA full install.

DFX and SRS Audio sandbox for clearer sound and Bass.

And offcourse good speakers and monitor to compliment.

InterVideo WinDvD is also a realy quality software for DVDs and stuff.

Coincidently i created a similar thread a couple of weeks ago. :)

Hello All

as about media player I Use The KMPlayer for Videos and a Russian Made Music Player Called AIMP2 .. both are very hand .. resource Friendly and customize-able .. but the fact is that you will always need a codec pack. I use CCCP .. Combined Community Codec Pack which is the best codec pack i had found .. B)

media player classic !

simple and the king !

just throw at it , any format , and it just plays it .

vlc , is good but, vlc , finds it hard to play HD files in .mkv and .m2ts formats .

media player 11 with sharks codec pack, also has been doing the job well for me.

aimp2 music player with dfx audio enhancement , is good music to ears !

also my sound card came with inbuilt SRS audio enhancer setup ,,

so for me AIMP2+DFX+SRS is simply superb awesome sound !!!!!
