Encrypt, compress, decrypt, wipe, view and edit with a few mouse clicks. Cryptographic primitives are AES-128 and SHA-1. No configuration is necessary for AxCrypt just download it, run the installer and it's ready to go. Couldn't open any encrypted file without it first sending info to the web, appeared to be asking for your password to be stored with them online, all kinds of up-selling of paid for upgrades, a total mess. Not only that, but reverting back to old version was problematic. Had to really dig around registry to get rid of new version before you could downgrade and took me a few hours before I could get the old version working again. Open the folder and delete $PLUGINSDIR. This should remove the OpenCandy junk from the installer.# (#...# =source of this text : user on sourceforge.net)...i tried this procedure...ok !!!
