Administrator DKT27 Posted July 30, 2009 Administrator Share Posted July 30, 2009 ESET SS = Anti Virus + Anti Spyware + Firewall + Anti Spam.ESET Nod32 Anti Virus = Anti Virus + Anti Spyware only.So select one. Don't keep two AV and two Firewall active on your PC. Just notifying. :tooth:

shought
No he posted this in the wrong forum and the title is kind of in-descriptive.Anyhow if you're system can handle it(which I'm sure it can) I'd recommend using ESET NOD32 Antivirus alongside with COMODO ;)
Administrator DKT27 Posted July 30, 2009 Administrator Share Posted July 30, 2009 Yea it really really works fine together. Comodo + ESET AV Only just takes 71MB of RAM together(at normal). Works great.

Bizarre™
You can find COMODO Firewall here.
Rock Lee
To add to Biz's post, when installing be sure to select the "firewall as a standalone option". That is only if you want the firewall. The rest of the security suite that COMODO offers is really good. If you're interested, you should try them out.

You can find Online Armour here.Oh and one of the best reason I would agree that NOD32 is better than Kaspersky is that the makers of Kaspersky are too cocky, they demand that you remove other security software from your system because kaspersky will crash but this is just a poor sad excuse for poorly coded software. You see no software can protect you from 100% of threats therefore it is better to use one that will not conflict with other security software and crash your pc, nod32 allows you to use multiple other security applications without crashing. This is just my opinion on the matter. One of the other reasons I like to use NOD32 is its ability to export and import settings in an XML file format which makes it easy to reinstall or install on many machines and not have to reconfigure all the settings manually. The choice is ultimately yours to make. ;)
Administrator DKT27 Posted July 31, 2009 Administrator Share Posted July 31, 2009 Yea it is right no AV is gonna "catch 'em all". I feel nor ESET is great but it is supposedly better for me and my comfort.

Infinite_Vision
Well, in my "Expert" opinion: good advice, comes from experience. :)Good Advice.Shought = Lots of experience + one of the friendlier mods/staff members on here. Personal experiences.Infinite_Vision = Not so muchIt's better to learn from others who have experience it before. I.E. KotaXor: "And you need to f**k up before you can gain experience, then give good advice."So it is good to ask KotaXor because this person aldready have experience in fu$king up. Why experience the same misery when someone already experienced it? --> (Rhetorical question) Another I.E Bizarre™: "Don't we all? rolleyes.gif hahahaha... But I rarely f**k up nowadays..."It's also good to learn from this staff member since they rarely f**k up nowadays. Though in terms of friendliness I can not give an opinion due to my lack of personal experiences. :)
