Despite the warning, I updated from 8.52a to 9.0b1 and eveything is fine so far.

I disabled the new vertical button bar, it looks weird.

icon_exclaim.gifWARNINGicon_exclaim.gif: This is a pre-release version. Do not use this version with critical data!

Note: For highly critical data, we still recommend to use the official release 8.52a for your work!

Try this direct to file link for TC 9.00b1 and key...

Site: http://s1.sendfile.su
Sharecode[?]: /download/1240996/ZYpkzKyhR88mT15LE3oIyucKu5oACo8GNkykpcKV

I don't know who this site is but there is no advertising or other non permitted on this site stuff - it's a direct d/l link so I hope it's allowed... Apologies if not...

Good luck

OHHHHHH nearly forgot - pw = www.2baksa.net

I run many TC's together eg - v8.52 x32, & x64 for normal file and system work,, and also v8.01 x32 just for playing and editing multimedia files - each version having its own setup and display etc for their different applications. There is no problem here. It works just fine..

I (like always) just unpack the program rather than install it,, copy over necessary files into the correct folder and run,, as long as you do it right. For new version beta's rc's and even new finals, I also unpack into yet another folder and test alongside working versions, NEVER deleting older versions until new ones prove their worth, especially a beta 1 (or all beta's and rc's for that matter)... This beta still needs a bit of maturing for my system.. Layout and some icons are ugly and am having to edit ini quite a bit to make it suit my PC...

I always found this File Manager to have a hideous looking interface.

Does it look any better in v9.0?

No, still the same,, just some of the explorer icons seem to be re-arranged and system & hidden files/folders are hi-lighted and/or shaded, which makes it look  'not' so nice,,  probably 'worse' for you.. Folder icon looks like the original one tipped on its side, making things look more bunched up...and the drive icon(s) are much smaller (depending on your settings/options), making drives look more spaced etc etc,, all in order to show a difference from the last version (the usual "out of ideas - get it out the door" facelift)...!!!

My TC is a bit modified to become a multi purpose initiator (don't ask,,) so I like it the way it is and I usually just transfer a few files from the previous version to pick up where I left off,, but this time I had to do some editing in settings and a few files and some things just do not want to work 100% for me... Luckily I run multi TC's together and NEVER delete previous versions until I know the new one DOES work well.. Thank heavens it's just a beta 1.. They still have time to redeem themselves and adjust some of the looks IMHO,, yet,, it still does its magic.. That's the important part...

This key still works.

Link found in the thread for v8.52a

Site: https://www.upload.ee
Sharecode[?]: /files/5203656/tcmd852a.rar.html

That looks like the same key as in the very top post on this page. It's the same one I am using anyway and I downloaded two versions of beta 1 - one from here, and I used that key... Unusual for TC to have a working key over multi releases lately.. I bet that will change before a Final comes out though...
