I can't get the HP deskjet 930C drivers for windows 10 x64 , no matter through windows update or at HP website. Much grateful for any help. Thank you.

I know it is a bit too old. But it still can be used with windows 8.1 x64.

How old is the printer, maybe hp don't have a driver for it, windiws 10 should give you a basic driver.

I have tried to install the cab file for x64 and the following pops up :
"cannot find the kernel driver for the printer driver package" (original in Chinese characters"

I download the HP_Print.rar file and run the 2 files therein. I follow the steps; but, at last it comes to a dead end or back to what HP suggests. I have tried them several times before.

Webdoc

It is really very old or you may call it an antique. I bought it in 2000. However, it works perfectly well in windows xp, 7 and 8.1, even in windows 10. Only after updating (automatically by windows) to the latest version, it says "no usable driver".

Thank you all my dear friends.

Have tried to re-install drivers?

Can you revert back to the working state before the update?

Maybe it's microsoft's way of telling you it's time to upgrade your printer, I know it's a pain but from time to time you have to end up saying goodbye to some old faithful equipment as it's just not compatible anymore, we have all been there.

first you should scan the internet windows driver database in the add printer windows 10 wizard and if you´re printer is not listed you can choose a similar model thought not recommended.

the most recommended option is to extract the driver cab file or whatever driver file and turn off windows 10 driver signing in advanced system settings -->Hardware-->Device Installation settings.

then in advanced system settings choose device manager--->right click in your computer name and choose add legacy hardware etc...

Thank you for helping. I'll try though the chance is slim. I'm lucky that i still have a laptop using windows 8.1 and works okay with HP930C.
