PriSim
Hello, I am having trouble , while connecting to different AP/routers using same SSID , all Ap/routers are on different channels with different passwords. But conflict always while i connect, so that none of them is connected. So is there any utility that can distinguish routers using mac address, and connect only with specific router. Already tried with wirelessmon no results. also with utility for wifi lan usb. Win 10 x64 Alfa AWUS036H with external antenna situated on my roof And one thing here i don't want to change any of the routers SSID. So please suggest a way to connect them. debebee
If you have 1 SSID ... make sure you have the same password for all of them... Most wifi authenication will require a unique username and password.. or else your device will insist using 1 un:pw set for all

They have same ssid but different passwords as they are situated at different locations. So its now a mandatory thing for me to connect with these devices with mac address or some thing else that is unique That's why i am asking for a app that can access the device with mac address only

straycat19
The only program that I know of that will allow this is an old one called wifihopper. In the connection manager it has 'only connect to the BSSID that matches the configured network'. The BSSID is the MAC address of the point you want to connect to. Some Dell Laptops also have this capability using the Dell Wireless Utility. Checked some of my old tech notes and there are other programs that will allow you to do what you want. Passmark WirelessMon and Intel Pro Set will also. Tested Intel ProSet on a Dell Latitude 5520 and it allows the connection to a wireless ap by mac address. Just do the following : Right click light bulb icon in system tray -> "Configure Wi-Fi" Right click on wanted network and select "Properties" Write down the wanted BSSID Press "Close" Click "Profiles" -> "Manage Profiles" (Ctrl+R) or click "Profiles..." Select wanted network, and then click "Properties..." Click "Advanced" Select "Mandatory Access Point" and enter custom MAC address (same as BSSID) If you want to run Linux then Kismet and mdk3 will allow you to do the same thing. One caveat: If the network is using load balancing then this will not work very well since it is always going to force a shift away from you chosen access point when the signal drops. debebee
if your hardware driver does not offer additional options.. you are sh.. out of luck... Best way is to manually connect to your SSIDs just forget all saved profiles so every time you connect you are prompted with username password combo.
