Google Chrome 49.0.2623.108

Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. Google Chrome also uses a brand new javascript engine (V8), which is much faster than existing javascript interpreters. This means you can create more complex and more intensive AJAX applications with fewer speed and processing constraints. Finally, Google Chrome is built on top of Blink (WebKit fork), so Google Chrome users will benefit from the CSS3 features being added to Blink (WebKit fork) as those features are released.

Thanks to BLAite for the update.

Portable Google Chrome 49.0.2623.108 32-64 bit Multilingual Online

By PortableAppZ

Download Portable Chrome 32-64 bit MultiVersion Online (0.5 MB)

Site: http://www.mediafire.com
Sharecode[?]: /download/zg9jpdyw3d040d3/Chrome_Portable_MultiVersion_32-64-bit_Multilingual_Online.exe

Need lunch installer for each update.

Extract and run ChromePortable .
If you want to add parameters, start in incognito mode, not set cache in temp, not delete cache or allow multiple instances: edit *Portable.ini.
Example: AdditionalParameters=--app=http://portableappz.blogspot.com
Settings of installed Chrome should be preserved.

Take note this is the very last version of Google Chrome that will support Windows XP, if you're still using that operating system.

Just curious, what will happen after this with chrome on XP? Will it refuse to run or will it crash because of missing API/DLL/Functionality/whatever not present on XP?

Many thanks Kalju! Is it a secret where you found these links? The site  http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable  is very slow to show the newest Chrome portables...

For now, it still works with no issues (besides the message saying that it will "soon" be not be supported)

My guess is that if you try to install it, it will probably show a pop up window saying something like "Not a supported operating system.

The message will be " This computer will soon stop receiving Google Chrome Updates because Windows XP ". A workaround is to add  --disable-infobars to the Chrome shortcut.

Chrome is ending support for these operating system on April 2016.

  • Windows XP
  • Windows Vista
  • 32-bit Linux Distros

its not just XP, 32 bit Linux distros will be made  i guess as long as there still some people with 32 bit pcs and vista still gets windows updates tell April 2017 meaning IE will still get updates for now They are doing this to save money they claim :)

You can still update Chromium web browser in 32-bit Linux Distros though just it dont have pepper flash like Google does .

Google is just living up to its rep.. a browser for the masses and not there's very many on x86 Linux  or Vista  and XP support  was suppose to had ended a year ago  on XP  so  its surprising they kept it this long.
