DiamondK
Do you actually meant 'Remove DNS server Role' ? Microsoft have official how to. Just a piece of cake simply go Microsoft official site then follow the professional steps. Actually I dun think it's a good idea to do that; just my 2 cents
jeffeuh
if you delete the DNS role of this server, keep in mind to keep 1 or more DNS server into your internal network to make DNS resolution. The process depends is you have the ADDS role installed too. Because when you install your first ActiveDIrectory server it install automatically the DNS role. Caution by removing the DNS role. Make sure your DHCP server doesn't send configuration IP with the IP of DNS server you want to remove. And then, check each server if you have enter the IP adress of the DNS server you want to remove. You action is very simple by doing this : Regards.
