I am on a laptop with free upgrade from win 8.1 to 10 home. I have had to reinstall 10 twice and each time keep finding errors and cannot access some of the tools to fix them because they are not available in the home version. What is the best way to get win10pro??  Must I erase my entire PC with 10 on it and install 7 pro and upgrade from there or could I possibly create another partition and install 7 pro there and activate my PC then install 10 pro on the partition that has 10 home and activate it without losing everything (again)? Im not exactly sure how this whole activation thing works.

Install Windows 7 Ultimate (Activate with DAZ Loader) or Windows 8.1 PRO then upgrade to Windows 10

it will be automatically upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and activated

Will this work on Win7 Pro ,activated with DAZ Loader, also ?

Ok, so it will work on a Pro-version also, will upgrade as soon as we have a stabile and reliable Win10. ( maybe end 2016/next year ??)

Does it make a difference if the Windows 7 installation be done onto another partition on the same HD so that I am dual booting win7 and win10home? Then I would be able to activate the 7 Ultimate and get the upgrade to Win10pro but choose to clean install the 10 pro over the 10 home but at least all of my files would be in the windows old folder. Then I could go back and delete the 7 partition. Would all of that partition changing mess with activation or does that not matter?

Sorry but i'm a bit confused here!

Just make a backup of your important data (on external hd preferably)

Install Windows 7 Ultimate or Pro (Activated with DAZ Loader accepted)

Upgrade to Windows 10 >>> automatically upgrade to Windows 10 Pro + Automatic permanent activation (must be connected)

(you can delete "Windows.old" if you want from this partition but there will be no revert back option to the previous system)

(at this point, you can also do a fresh or clean install of Windows 10 Pro & it will remain activated)

See later if you can install Windows 7 again on another partition for dual booting

You can do everything you want. The most important thing to do first is a backup (entire hd or partition or simple files & folders)
