bruinator
Not sure if this is the right place for this but when u watch some videos why do some of them stop during it and something it it sits and spins cozing the video to stop on occassions for whatever amount of time then resumes playing? What cozes it and is there any way to prevent it from doing it? It is a major PITA.
vissha
It is called buffering. Buffering helps to watch videos without stopping anymore. If you are having average speed internet and if you want to play video online, the buffering first downloads the video to some extent and then start to play the video and the download still happens[without buffering] even if the video is playing. If there is a drop in speed, the buffering[pause video happens] and changes according to d/w speed. There is only one way to fix it to some extent. You can install Speedbit Video Accelerator. To enjoy most of the tool, you need to upgrade to Premium. I've used this tool[Premium - earlier Video Accelerator Plus] personally years ago and it is the No.1 in this category. There are other 2 things[speed throttling by ISP, the server is slow] which can slow the d/w speed. You need to check other websites[multiple] and check d/w and upload activity. If it is not in sync with your internet speed, then it is speed throttling by ISP. Try changing DNS to Yandex DNS or OpenDNS or any other faster DNS. Spoiler Yandex [No.1 DNS in Benchmark Nov 2013] Safe:[Will protect automatically from malicious requests. Uses Sophos technology and internal anti-virus software] ===== 77.88.8.2 77.88.8.88 Basic:[Performs DNS look ups but does not offer filters] ====== 77.88.8.1 77.88.8.8 Family:[Blocks adult contents from being loaded] ======= 77.88.8.3 77.88.8.7 OpenDNS 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 Optional:- Includes Privacy Issues Google DNS 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 If the above doesn't help, then you should check for malware; try using the above suggested tool; final solution is to change ISP; If the reason is due to website server, you should check with the above suggested tool. Hi @bruinator your speed looks fine, you can use this tool to find out which programs in your computer are using the Internet, maybe something is going on in the background
