asf
Hi there As i am starting to tinker around with Easy2Boot, i noticed that there is very little easy to read tutorials (yup there are tuts at http://www.easy2boot.com/ but they are terribly hard to understand) So i'm creating a thread that we should be able to ask and get answers, all about Easy2Boot. I could say that i know zero about multi booting and/or anything regarding to it, but i want to learn it, so here i am. I really hope someone will answer my questions. Thanks in advance My first question. How do i boot into E2B in UEFI? Thanks
tiliarou
I'm not sure I understand your question. Easy2Boot is used to create multi-boot usb pen drive, which means that you can live boot different systems directly from usb. To boot in UEFI is just dependant on your motherboard : you usualy press a key at boot or use windows advanced boot menu to reboot into UEFI. Then in UEFI you can customize boot priority, change integrated devices behavior, overclock etc... What are you trying to do exactly ? You are trying to boot on your Easy2Boot usb pen drive with a computer running UEFI ? You have to set the UEFI to boot on the usb instead of the main HDD/SSD. Sometimes you have to enable legacy usb support for it to see your usb. Did you read this page: http://www.easy2boot.com/useful-things-to-know/ Look for " How to boot E2B from a UEFI-only system (e.g. Asus T100 and T200) " it should contain exactly what you need (if I understood correctly^^). straycat19
I have been using easy2boot since it was first developed and I learned from the videos and tutorials which is where I point people that want to know how to use it. I used these same items to train my team members. Yes some of it requires technical knowledge and if you don't have that knowledge you will have problems in correctly setting up the easy2boot device to do what you want it to do. Unfortunately, me telling you to do something that is already explained in the tutorials isn't going to make it any easier for you to understand if you don't understand the technical details. asf
It's all right. I figured out what i needed. About what i want to accomplish with this thread is, more low level instructions, that more people should understand. Also what i noticed on the dev's website, is that most tut's don't keep on one subject, only it jumps back and forth, and that's another thing that i want to accomplish with this thread, Detailed step by step instructions for specific things, for example, someone will ask "Hi i want to create a usb that has windows 7/8/10 and linux + konboot", If there would be a easy to read guide, someone will guide that user to that, or someone will make one. Basically a support thread that would build into a Easy@Boot ultimate guide repository with detailed instructions. Thanks
