Having installed the latest version, at first glance it's kind of impressive, but cause for concern and I'll explain...

I use CCleaner and Wise Registry Cleaner to slim down useless or dead entries. Furthermore they have never caused me grief because I know how dangerous these registry cleaners can be after 20 years....  Anyways when I ran WinUtilities registry cleaner it found 1,877 errors, as compared to Wise RC finding 400+ errors in it's most aggressive mode.

Of course I can back-up the registry, or utilize system restore if damage occurred but I'd like to avoid if possible.

So I'm asking if anybody here has experience using this software's registry cleaning function. Thx!

These type of software caused more harm than doing any good to the PC so it is advisable to make a restore point or create a system image before using this or any other 'registry cleaner'. But it has other tools which is also very good except the registry cleaner.

I totally agree and that's why I asked... Am capable of checking / verifying 'most' reported errors, but 1877, even if I eliminated 30% because of irrelevance it's still to much to handle... I can say after jumping around checking random error entries I haven't spotted a 'bad' one, but it's still way to many of a difference.

Another registry cleaner named 'Reg Organizer' (Chemtable software) also finds massive errors. Is a piece of software you'd want to like yet it had to go for the same reasons above. They also make 'Soft Organizer' (an uninstaller) which works incredibly well even when removing 1200+ remnants. Yet as you I still take serious caution with registry cleaners that give massive reported errors compared to 'Wise RC' + 'CCleaner'  being used together.
