east-tec SafeBit is a hard drive encryption software that gives you the privacy you want in the easiest way possible.

On-the-fly encryption means that data is automatically encrypted right before it is saved and decrypted right after it is

You can now use removable disk devices, such as USB sticks, flash memory cards, smart cards to store your

passwords for your safes.
This means no matter how many safes (virtual volumes) you have, or how long or complex your passwords are,

remember or type them again.
More, for better protection the password is encoded while storing it on the smart card and you just need to remember

one PIN from your USB whenever you want to open your safes and this is because east-tec SafeBit reads your

passwords directly from the card.
This allows you to choose long passwords for your safes since you will never actually need to type them once they

are saved inside your personal USB.

 

Protection against KeyLoggers:
A keylogger is an application that reads all your keystrokes from your keyboard, it can see exactly and find out your

password.
To improve the security of your data you can use the Virtual Keyboard option from east-tec SafeBit 2 to enter the

password using the mouse, and this will prevent any key logger or spyware software from stealing your passwords.

The drive encryption feature of east-tec SafeBit will create virtual encrypted disk drives where you can place your files,

and keep them encrypted all the time.
When you leave your computer, east-tec SafeBit determines the computer is idle and will close the safe automatically,

Protection against accidental or intentional deletion:
east-tec SafeBit provides protection against accidental or intentional deletion of Container Files
(the files that store the image of your encrypted drive).
east-tec SafeBit maintains security of data even in case of incorrect system shutdown or system crash by keeping your

confidential and important documents always encrypted.

 

Automatic Closure System:
east-tec SafeBit will protect you even when you are away from your computer.
When you leave your computer SafeBit determines the computer is Idle, on StandBy or Hibernation and will close the

safe automatically after a specific amount of time, by default 15 minutes

(you can choose this amount from the Options page), protecting your against data theft that doesn’t even have to be a

hardware theft.

 

Backup & Restore a safe in seconds:
Your Safe is secured from intruders BUT what if you, your kid(s) or wife deletes by mistake the container file, or for some

reason your hard-disk crashes – your important files will be lost forever, unless you made a backup of your safe.
You can use this function to backup a Safe, to make a copy of your container files.
If your container file is in the default container folder, access to it is restricted by Windows.
Only with this feature you will be able to access the container file directly and make a copy of it.
And if your original safe is destroyed by any chance, with east-tec SafeBit you can easily restore it from your backup.
The Restore Safe function creates a connection between a safe and a container file.
This function is mostly used to restore backed up container files, but it can be used to mount any container file
(for example when you want to transport information from one computer to another).
The new safe, created from the backup container file, will be exactly like the original safe was.

 

Stealth Mode and Hot-Keys:
Increased privacy is assured while running east-tec SafeBit in the Stealth mode.
You can hide east-tec SafeBit and run it in Stealth Mode so no one could ever find out that you are using such a program.
You can take advantage of this feature by making a few settings in Options window.
Running this program in Stealth Mode is possible using Hot-Keys and passwords.
Hot-Keys can also be easily used using the interface, not the Stealth mode by opening the Safes List or

closing / opening safes.
This provides a greater flexibility in using east-tec SafeBit.

beginners and also powerful for experienced IT experts that search for a reliable file and drive encryption software.

Safes can be created on your local or external hard-disks, on USB sticks or other removable devices, on CD/DVD,

The size of the container file is limited only by the file-system you use: using Windows 98, Me, 2000 or
