Sylence
You need more than a monitor and a CPU to play XCOM2
Israeli_Eagle
Impossible without a good GPU and also enough RAM...
antonpetrov
Hi there! I'm not actually sure what you mean by "only CPU", so my suggestion is this config: AMD Athlon X4 860K (http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-Athlon-Quad-Core-Desktop-Processor/dp/B00MU00IOQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451484012&sr=8-1&keywords=AMD+Athlon+X4+860K) MSI A68HM-E33 V2 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-AMD-A68HM-E33-V2-Motherboard-HDMI/dp/B00Y3FDYVA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451484112&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+A68HM-E33+V2) Kingston 8GB DDR3 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-KVR16N11-Non-ECC-240-Pin-Memory/dp/B0089JIDLC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1451484139&sr=8-1&keywords=Kingston+8GB+DDR3) Leaving you with a bunch of money from your 800$ budget to ivest in video card and PSU. Cheers! P.S.: I'm assuming you have at least a case and HDD/SSD/SSHD

Administrator DKT27 Posted December 30, 2015 Administrator Share Posted December 30, 2015 Whatever it is. The most important part of a gaming computer is the graphics card. While everything else is important, including the always ignored power supply, powerful graphics card is a must. This seems a good PC build to me. qWantUS
+1 for what @DKT27 said. Good build. Just buy 1x 8gb ram stick, don't waste you money on that stupid 4x4gb kit, you only have 4 slots and year later have no way to add more ram. 1x 8GB stick. also 970 is a definitely the best choice for the price. will last you a while. I have made a mistake and bought 290x a while back. good card but not good enough for the money. Wanted 970 sli (already have universal custom watercooling). no need for DVD I think. I have a USB DVD, only because i have had one for like 5 years now :D. Also I would skip on HDD and stick with Samsung 850 EVO SSD 250gb. Its enough for a start, will get big HDD later. SSD is the most noticeable upgrade to PC. I remember when I first got my Intel m25-x ( I actually still use them, old but still going strong) 2x on raid. Man Win7 was flying! the BEST upgrade ever. :D Anyway its just my 5c
BiC
in retail 3 words are location location and location in computer builds 3 words are mobo mobo and mobo just like house comp needs build from ground up. start with a good foundation(mobo) imho mobo most important part of any computer! what others say true also but make sure mobo can fit the awsome gpu or newest RAM. even if cant do all now later can put in the better gpu and RAM. imho $800 not enough to build gaming rig
