Batu69
From drug sniffing dogs to bomb sniffing dogs, they have a nose for the no good And coming soon, the first of its crime-fighting kind in Texas. The “porn” dog,” said Jon Dumas with Montgomery County Crimestoppers. You heard right—a pornography dog. "It’s innovative, it’s unique, it’s cutting edge,” said Dumas, whose organization contributed $17,000 to initially fund the canine detective. “It’s extremely catching and fitting, because that’s what it’s there to do, sniff out child pornographerers,” Dumas said. There are only a couple of these specially-trained animals in the country. They sniff out an adhesive commonly found in electronic strorage devices, such as thumb drives, hard drives, and tiny SD cars where child porn is often kept, and often kept hidden by the perpetrators. "We have found that there have been storage devices in safes under the slab of somebody's home, they hide it very well,” said Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable Ryan Gable, whose department is receiving the animal next month. Hidden storage drives were the challenge in the recent hi-profile child porn case of former Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle. “(Investigators) went in and collected things and didn't find what they were looking for, and that's when they called in this canine dog to come in and assist and on the second round he found the devices that they were looking for,” said Tyler Dunman, Chief Prosecutor for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. The high-powered canine nose was key to Fogle's guitly plea. "Porn dog sniffed it out, it worked perfectly, and that's what we're hoping to bring to Montgomery County and the Houston Metro area,” Dunman said. Earlier this month a Montgomery County child predator task force nabbed 27 suspects. With the addition of Brody, a chocolate Labrador, authorities hope to soon tally up many more. CODYQX4
This sounds like a bullshit way to invent probable cause. Hidden Flash Drive? Absolutely MUST be kiddie porn! Doggie says so so we search, no warrant. Oh, no kiddie porn but we found something else or planted something. Basically the dog can smell glue inside hard drives. Besides, it could always be legal porn hidden, then your wife finds out about your stash and all.

vibranium
The dogs are only brought in to search out suspected homes. Otherwise there will be 99% false positives.
