RAR files

I have downloaded a RAR file.  When using WINRAR it now created a directory with little volume rars.  filename.r00, filename.r01, filename.r02, etc.

Can someone assist me in explaining how to complete this unpack? When I unpack the first one, it creates a folder with a bin and cue file.  When i start with the second on (filename.r01) it wants to overwrite the file existing.

Help?

Thanks

u only need to unpack one and u're done (it takes pieces from the rest automatically)... have a look at the unpacked file sizes.

mount the cue file with Daemon Tools or alternative or burn it to a CD/DVD.

if there is a *.rar file among them, select it & click extract

filename.rar
filename.r00
filename.r01
filename.r02

if there is none, select all files (r00,r01, r02....) & click extract to another folder

I think this is called a rar set. bin/cue is kinda like ISO and can be burnt to disc

This from powerISO website

Quote

BIN / CUE format is used to store disc image, which is composed a cue sheet file (.cue) and one or more bin files. The cue file is a plain-text file, which stores the information of disc and tracks. The bin file is a binary file, which stores the raw sector-by-sector copies of the tracks in the disc. With PowerISO, you can open BIN / CUE files, burn them to disc, or mount as virtual drive. To open BIN / CUE files and extract files from them, please follow the steps,

http://www.poweriso.com/tutorials/open-bin-cue-file.htm

Mmhh.....:

1) Press "Windows-E" to open File Explorer, select "Local Disk (C:)" from under Computer and then click "New Folder." This folder will hold your RAR volumes...

2) Create an identifying name for the folder and then press "Enter."

3) Move all parts of the RAR archive to the folder you created. Double-click the first volume ("[filename].r00," "[filename].001" or "[filename].part1.rar" in most cases) to view the contents of the archive.

4) Locate the file to extract and then drag-and-drop it into the folder. Done.-

Hope helps this...:hi:
