Others who are not aware, can check out the Disabling Non-intrusive Advertising section at the Adblock Plus tutorial.

Quote Companies including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Taboola pay huge fees — The Financial Times pegged the price at "30% of the additional ad revenues" they would have earned were ad unblocked — to appear on Adblock Plus' "Acceptable Ads List," which means Adblock Plus users will see their ads unless they adjust their settings from the default to the strictest possible. Also there's this new company now Quote Criteo, a public ad tech company that works with retailers to "re-target" online ads at users likely to be in the market for buying products, has joined the list of big internet advertising companies that pays the popular ad blocker Adblock Plus for its ads to be unblocked, http://uk.businessinsider.com/criteo-pays-adblock-plus-to-appear-on-its-acceptable-ads-whitelist-2015-12?r=US&IR=T There's very few ABP users that cares ether most of them are more worried about witch ads are ok to allow instead of blocking ads anyone can see this at there forum and by downloads of Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus only a fraction of there users even use this you can look at the downloads at AMO for Firefox and see this as well. ABP is like the Mafia they charge wealthy companies a 30% of the companies loss to try to get back 70% of there profits that ABP stole to begin with , witch they really can never achieve because there are some who use strictest possible. settings . AD Blocking is almost dead the Ad blockers are in bed with wealthy companies to try to keep from being shut down and to get rich . If ABP was to get shut down they done made enough on it to live good the rest of there life. Its really a shame too it use to be a great open source company that did not do it for profit that I used for many years . Now its a shamble but many others are getting on corporation gravy train as well they have set a bad example for others . If they wanted to make money they should charge a fee for it like other ad blockers do or did . I use mostly open source stuff now days when I’m not on windows and i really cant be bothered with the hassle of windows very often . Windows are for people who like to spend money on things that can be replaced with open source stuff even the whole O/S can be replaced .
