Hello,

Uhh, only just noticed this morning, but seems the latest Windows Update, one of them happened to disable my Windows 7.

Happened on both my desktops. Although there was no message saying so, but you can see the message on the bottom right corner.  Saying that it isn't genuine.

Curious if uninstalling said update (if it was due to that) will revert the issue.

Were you using windows loader or similar?  If so you could try to reinstall the loader again.  If that doesnt work then mod your bios with slic 2.1 and it will stay activated for sure.

Which method did you employ to activate windows 7?

And you've put this in the Software News section because?

Moved to Software Chat as it didn't really belong in the soft news part of the forum.

Oops, sorry about that guys, on posting in the wrong section. Thanks Marik for moving it.

At work at the moment, so will test when I get home. But I originally used Loader, but now when I run it, it says another program was used and to uninstall first...

So I will need to check to see if I have another program to revert that change and hope nothing goes wrong.

But will also check out the link hihello provided to see if perhaps I am suffering from that.

EDIT:
Shall see if I have that Update installed or not.

As well as try the " slmgr -rearm" run command to see if that results in allowing me to use Loader.

Just got home, okay so I don't have KB971033 installed.

Hesitant to use "Re-LoaderByR@1n" because when I tried that on sis' netbook, it failed an rendered it useless. So can't chance that here.

Windows Loader can't be used due to it saying Modified. Checked Daz site and it recommended "MBR Regenerator" but I'm not 100% sure how to use it and as to what it modifies/changes.

But weirdly when you check the status via My Computer (Right-click and Properties), I don't even see the section at the bottom that says whether or not the OS is activated.

Figured it out, and was quite easy fix too... Shoudl have just done it from start.

Basically just had to Rearm the system and then reapply KMS, and presto, seems to have fixed it thus far.

I apply MBR Regenerator, wait some minutes, and you will have Windows 7 ready for to be activated. then run DAZ Loader and activation will be forever, like an original retail, will have the option for to get Windows 10 activated
