Velocet
You should update your posting since there is no DiagTrack package anymore. Also: If you want to remove Flash you have to remove 3 packages: Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-onecoreuap-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0 Adobe-Flash-For-Windows-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0 Microsoft-Windows-Media-FlvPropHandler-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0 Is there any way to look inside on of these packages? Finimal
Thx for the tip Velocet. for the additional flash package. Missed that one gonna test it right now. I am testing all packets, components and there are a lot of them. Let the games begin MICRO$OFT Since Microsoft was updated to RS had to rewrite my batch file hmm The Connected User Experiences and Telemetry (DiagTrack) did not have enough time to find that one. Maybe it's hard coded in the kernel, or it's just a service we will see. I saw it in NTLite(remove components) gonna use NTLite to compare packages. Suggestion zavana about taking ownership for the registry keys i did it with REGINI D:\WIM\ACL.TXT (just experimenting). Finimal
Wasn't aware that NTLite removed that package to. Couple of tips about windows 10 automatically downloading stuff: 1. Microsoft-Windows-ContentDeliveryManager-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-US~10.0.14393.0, Microsoft-Windows-ContentDeliveryManager-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0 When i removed the components nothing was updated or installed Candy Crush, Twitter etc. (you can remove them with install wim tweak.exe or do it manually with dism.exe I Prefer Manually D:\WIM\install_wim_tweak.exe /n /p "D:\WIM\OFFLINE" /c Microsoft-Windows-ContentDeliveryManager-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~en-US~10.0.14393.0 /r D:\WIM\install_wim_tweak.exe /n /p "D:\WIM\OFFLINE" /c Microsoft-Windows-ContentDeliveryManager-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.14393.0 /r 2. For disabling driver updates: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate] "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate] "ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate"=dword:00000001 Copy to notepad save as x.reg 3. Microsoft changed the Metered Connection locating setting it's now: Metered Connection-->>Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks Properties > turn On Set as metered connection. 4.Disable Windows Store Auto Download: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore] "AutoDownload"=dword:00000002 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsStore\WindowsUpdate] "AutoDownload"=dword:00000002 Copy to notepad save as x.reg 5.Driver Updates: Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System System properties: Hardware->Device installation settings Do you want to automatically download manufactures apps and custom icons available for your devices? No Just brainstorming i am collecting all the DATA about Windows 10 RS (Main subjects now): 1. Components, packages 2. Services 3. Task Scheduler 4. RegTweaks The result will be a stable windows 10, small as possible in size. I Only Want The Operating System nothing more or less. (MICRO$OFT Goes ONECORE Phone, Tablets, XBox, PC. 1 OS For all). Sylence
When you used NTlite to remove Windows components, haven't you had any problems with cumulative updates ?
Velocet
Set the correct ACLs for "HKLM\MNT\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages" (I mounted it to MNT in HKLM) like described in the start post and then just run this little PowerShell snippet to make all packages visible: $packages = (Get-ChildItem "HKLM:\MNT\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages").PSChildName foreach ($package in $packages) { Reg Add "HKLM\MNT\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages\$package" /v "Visibility" /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f Reg Delete "HKLM\MNT\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages\$package\Owners" /f } From there on you could list all available features, packages, etc. and write the output to text files with dism (i mounted the install.wim to C:\ISO\MNT): dism /Image:C:\ISO\MNT /Get-Apps >Apps.txt dism /Image:C:\ISO\MNT /Get-Capabilities >Capabilities.txt dism /Image:C:\ISO\MNT /Get-Features >Features.txt dism /Image:C:\ISO\MNT /Get-Packages >Packages.txt dism /Image:C:\ISO\MNT /Get-ProvisionedAppxPackages >AppxPackages.txt dism /Image:C:\ISO\MNT /Get-ProvisioningPackageInfo >PackageInfo.txt If running LTSB it should be possible to remove ALL UAP (Universal App Platform) packages from the ISO without any problem since the store is also removed. I will give this one a try when i am back at my workstation. NTLite works a bit different than DISM. Don't forget that... I am using NTLite Free to remove drivers, languages and keyboads from the image. Then i am using DISM to remove everything else that is not needed. point and get others around the internet (read: other forums) to work togehter? So everyone can contribute and it doesn't matter in which forum they are. I made up a Windows 10 Customization Wiki at Wikia. Maybe you could help spread the word on other forums and want to contribute? Please tell me what you think about a external wiki that will act as a central point for the information found on the internet... http://win10.wikia.com/wiki/Windows_10_Customization_Wikia

Is there any Powershell script or bat or cmd file for deleting all mentioned garbage for the latest 14393 build? As all steps explained in #1 and syntax remains working for 14393.0, apply them to whatever package you want to remove in your OS wim packages list. No one going to do your homework. Certain components like Windows Defender that involving numerous packages can't be remove thoroughly if using its sequential order in wim packages list. Do you meet an error 0x800f0825 with one those LanguageFeatures packages ? According to dism, it's seem impossible to uninstall because it's a permanent package... It's a bit strange because it's only one which wasn't remove. There is an order to respect (like with Defender (etc) in this example) ? Perhaps it's something else ? Edit : I had discover after several attempts, yes there's also an order when you want to delete Capabilities Then, I had noticed 2 facts : the error is gone and it's the same about the Language packages (all gone). The full list of package will be reduced by almost two (about 1500 to 800).
