I have had this happen, Turn your Computer OFF and Reboot. Wait until Everything has Started up again eg. your antivirus etc. Go to updates again and try. If it gives you that same massage . just keep trying. I think I had to do it 2 or three times. It told me that I was not signed in on my Windows account. Ha. Anyway just keep telling it to retry. Reboot and try again. Good Luck.

Anyone may get this error message because Windows gives it to you if they do not know any particular reason. So this is just one of the announcement, which does not have a fixed solution available.

You need to identify themselves what's the cause. This may be a problem with your computer, it can be a problem with the Internet connection, it can be a problem with the firewall settings, and it can really be a way, that you have to try several times. But sometimes even that does not help, because the Windows server can't give to download full package correctly.
Then You may try manually to download and install.

But I'm amazed that what the update is this? I do not have it and have never had this? What Windows do you have?

(My is W10 1511 TH2 latest x64 Pro)

just navigate to "C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download"

then find (probably) the most recent folder

it should have a .cab file in the folder, with the kb code of this update listed

shift+right click on the cab file, and copy as path

open admin command prompt and enter: dism /online /add-package /packagepath:insertpathhere

inserting the path where it says

for example mine is

dism /online /add-package /packagepath:"C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\c4a1b8896ce9fbfea96c1ee6890d52a5\windows10.0-kb3122947-x64.cab"

wait for it to finish, then close it and check for updates

problem solved

Thanks a lot I took your advice and I solved
