What is this? The regular catalyst drivers with just a different name?

Yes, the big change is that the got rid of CCC. But now these drivers are not available for my HD6670. Everything below HD8000 is "Legacy" and the latest drivers are

15.7.1

Yep, after visiting the AMD support site, I noticed that they moved more cards to the Legacy category...

HD 8000 and lower are now considered "legacy".

I have seen the BETA software mentioned on AMD's site but i'm not in favour using such software, there's no point really.

No matter, i don't play games so the latest 15.7.1 are for me.

Moved to legacy category means no more updates.

v15.7.1 still working fine and will work until you change your card or your pc.

i agree with venejo. beta versions are known for bugs, so me too i'll stick with the latest stable version.

I've tried a couple of times, but the installation process just crashes my PC when I try updating from v15.201.1151. :(

Anyone else having a problem with this Crimson driver package?

CRIMSON WHQL (OFFICIAL STABLE) DRIVER & CRIMSON BETA DRIVERS (LEGACY)

  • LEGACY BETA DRIVER FILES ARE JUST 1 WEEK OLDER..
  • SAME DISPLAY DRIVER VERSIONS 15.300.1025.0.
  • SAME INSTALLATION (PERSONALLY TESTED)
  • NO PROBLEM SO FAR YET (WITH MY LEGACY HD5450 DRIVER -_- ) , IT'S JUST LIKE AFTER MAKING THE LEGACY BASED DRIVER THEY WERE SENT TO MS LAB TO BE WHQL CERTIFIED . . .

SO , FOR ME = WE CAN USE IT . . . . BUT PATHETICALLY, I NEED TO CHANGE MY HD5450 TO NVIDIA 2GB DDR5 NOW <_<

 POINTING OUT SINCE PERSONALLY TESTED

  • Users whose graphics card has became Legacy with the release of Crimson Edition , they still can use the WHQL'd Final Crimson Driver 15.11 (Not the beta available for Legacy Models)
  • Personally installed (on my HD5450 which is now Legacy listed) the Final one & it's working perfectly . . . No more beta (pic posted)

Tested them on Linux it says it supports amd radeon hd 6350a but my graphics card is amd radeon hd 6350d

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Ubuntu+x86+64

They just crash my pc so i end having put back in 15.9 in Linux mint . In Netrunner on my other HHD just using the AMD ones from driver manger seems fine for now.

My Windows PC has Intel drivers and im glad . :P
