After the first of January 2016 Reddit will apply those new updated rules about using their service (platform).

A couple of important changes that may cause your privacy to be breach these are a handful of changes:

- Extended information hold (stored for a period of time then deleted after a deadline), before it was 90 days now is 100 days.

- All transactions made for the Reddit Gold (premium account upgrade) are stored as information for legal purpose or t9rrori$t, pedo check (Police, F.8.I, N.$.4...) P.S: those transactions infos they didn't mention how long that date will be stored before they erase it.

- Private messages between anyone on reddit or modmail are stored, pictures, text, deleted comments...

- Collected data will be used for tracking user behavior and for advertising purposes.

- Reddit now respects the Do Not Track request, my opinion the data they collect deny this claim.
