Batu69
How Facebook is Stealing Billions of Views The folks over at the "In a Nutshell" Youtube Channel are taking a swing at the 202 billion dollar big dog known as Facebook. Their informative clip above smoothly illustrates the problem that independent video creators have when it comes to having their work "freebooted" from them, preventing them from getting the full credit of money-generating views they need to continue making more content.Freebooting is when somebody copies your video from the place you posted it, adds it to their Facebook page, thus depriving the actual creator for any of those views. It's a win for the person's Facebook page because their content drives people to them and it's a win for Facebook because they have eyes on their site longer to look at more ads and generate more money. The loser is the content creator because their original video may only get 1000 views while the stolen version of it on Facebook may get a million views, generate subscribers, and make money, all of which the creator will never see. According to Nutshell, it seems Facebook is taking a serious look it at the issue, but it's slow going. Exit thought from the founder of Friendster... Meow I just need to say it one more time to beat the record .....Facebook! Bam, that's 10, baby!...
