straycat19
hmm...an easy wayAfter using ConfigFox have you gone into the about:config and verified that it sets the privacy settings the same as doing it manually? Never trust any 'automatic' software until it has been tested and verified and tested and verified and tested and verified. It is shortcuts that get users into trouble security wise, that is why all us 'old farts' prefer to do everything manually and verify the settings. brain_death
Thank you very much for sharing this, much appreciated!!Lots more information from the original source, referenced elsewhere on this forum:https://www.privacytools.io/#about_configThe only about:config privacy tweak that so far I have had to undo, was:dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled = false...because it effectively crippled my clipboard. You and others might also be interested in this feature:--> How to prevent HSTS tracking in Firefoxhttp://www.ghacks.net/2015/10/16/how-to-prevent-hsts-tracking-in-firefox/I found that making SiteSecurityServiceState.txt read-only was not sufficient to prevent this process, although setting a deny action under the file's security tab on Windows, did the trick perfectly. Linux users, of course, have CHMOD...YMMV! ;)
