Removed Waterfox and deleted folder

Installed FF x64 and ran CCleaner

Rebooted

Cannot open any google pages including search, maps and youtube

Also he search box at the top doesn't work (default search is google)

Getting same error on all therse pages

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.google.ca, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

Also Pages on Yahoo are not rendering properly.

Other HTTPS pages are loading ok

Not impressed with FF 64 bit so far

Any one else having issues like this?

When I use Hide All IP ,google does not open

"This Connection is Untrusted" error message appears - What to do?

probleme-carrefourbanque.jpg

If it is so, then something must be wrong with your system or with settings.

Sometimes it happens if Firefox User Data (profile) has been damaged. Then helps if you delete all except the Bookmarks.

Firefox does not need to be reinstalled, about it does not depend on anything.

I reset FF (didn't work)

I deleted the profile (didn't work)

Unistalled FF

I deleted the Mozilla foler in roaming profile

Rebooted

Ran CCleaner

Ran Windows 10 Magaer cleaner

Reinstalled FF

Still doesn't work

This Connection is Untrusted or the site loads the text version

@mp3it, @DrKash

I had a similar problem. I tried to login the Fiferox Sync and was surprised with "This connection is untrusted" error message, but the cause of this was the filtering https-protocol in the AdGuard.

If you are using Adguard 5.xx, you need to ban https filtering. Otherwise, do not work in Firefox, Opera, etc.

When I reset my firefox profile it removed all add-ons and extensions I had installed

I was using UBlock Origin and am using Kaspersky SS

The only sites I am having propbels loading are Google and Yahoo

I did not have any probems when I was using Waterfox

I have not found any other sites having problems so far

*********

I found the problem

I disabled Kaspersky SS and it is working properly now

I guess I have to figure out what the problem with Kaspersky is???

**********

The problem is with the digital certificates. I am using Kaspersky IS 2016 that caused this problem, to resolve this:

1. Close all the current browsers.

2. Open Kaspersky.

3. Go to Settings --> Additional --> Network.

4. Under Network --> Encrypted connection scanning, click advanced settings, and then click Install Certificate.

5. After that, open IE (not sure why it didn't install in firefox).

6. Go to Internet Options --> Content --> Certificates.

7. Under Trusted Root Certification Authorities, you'd see a Kasperky Anti-Virus Personal Root Certificate, Click on it and click Export.

8. Export in DER (.CER) format on the desktop (or anywhere you want).

9. Now open Firefox.

10. Go to Advanced --> Certificates --> View Certificates.

11. Click on Import and select the certificate you saved from IE.

12. VOILA! It should work.

Do not throw sparks - can come to the fire. This is nonsense, what you are trying to explain.

Sorry, not mess. it is much more than a mess.

care to explain?

nonsense? do you even know what's a digital certificate? why http websites are opening, but not https? Yes, these antivirus snoop on your "secure" https network, and you allow that with their certificates, deal with it. I googled for the problem as i was also facing this, got this solution, shared here with everyone, though not in a most fancy way, but it worked for me.

@mp3it even wrote that problem solved when he disabled Kaspersky, and you think that your **something** must be wrong with your system or with settings. solution is still more logical than mine, lol. :D  :lmao:

So a saying for you, repeated: Do not throw sparks - can come to the fire.

There is no 64bit version on their page. Did I miss something?

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

Note: Page is updated with 42.0 version but without x64 version for windows.

they call it 64 bit . even if you download from this url you get same file for x32 and x64 . why is that ? i dont know , maybe its multi version :)

I am still using 32 bit FF

Do I have to uninstall it completely before installing the new 64 bit?

Is there any advantage of using 64 bit FF ? (faster.....??)

‘Uninstall the 32 and install a clean x64

It's faster and stable

For the problems about connection to some websites and certificate ...I think that the problem is solved for me after the new version of avast.

Flash plugin keeps crashing on FF x64. Glad I didnt uninstall the 32 bit version, it still works OK no crash with flash. Boo to you Mozilla.

This is interesting. I do not notice any problems.

I will do some investigative work later to try and find out whats wrong. It could be as simple as reinstalling FF or Flash. If that dont work I will try a clean install after uninstalling FF 32bit and rebooting as some here have said that is how they did it. But yes you are correct, it is indeed interesting!

I do not believe that it would help. Some kind other problem has to be.

any evidence for this?

x86 is stable here too... x64 doesn't even run here.

This version works like a charme! :)

I feel more fast browsing than before and I there is no crash for the moment....

For those who are using the 32bit version, just install the 64bit version, open it so that it's using your profile and then uninstall normally the 32bit version, your settings, addons, etc. will be retained.

It is simpler than that.

Just uninstall the 32-bit version, then install the 64-bit version. Done.

Note: The uninstaller leaves your profile behind.

haha, for me it'as the other way around... x64 runs *only* in sandboxie, out of the sandbox it simply crashes immediately.

and it seems comodo firewall causes all the trouble.

I found the culprit. It is Sandboxie or the combination of Sandboxie and the new 64bit FF. If I run FF 64bit UN-sandboxed everything is nice. I have tried numerous configurations and settings within Sandboxie and FF with no results. I have a post on Sandboxie Forums about my issue. Maybe someone there has an idea wtf is going on cuz I sure dont! :)

Now if you remember, I told you, anything else has to be ....

Now, I say - remove this sandbox forever and ever. You do not need that kind of toys, I think you're already an adult person, or I'm wrong! They do not do anything good. And will never do, because these are made for sale, not for use.

Why you say this Kalju? Sandboxie has saved my ass many, many a time.

Of course, you can believe in what you want, but you can not get use things, that is not suitable to work with other important programs, which are included with your system.

There is no reasonable cause to look for problems themselves, they will come anyway, till we live.
