Mozilla Firefox 42.0

I get this message on java com, I tried both jre-8u65-windows-x64.exe and jre-8u66-windows-x64.exe. I can't find Java in the plugins sections, same with UnityWebPlayer64.exe after I installed it.

We are unable to verify if Java is currently installed and enabled in your browser.

If you have installed Java and there is an error with the verification, there could be a configuration issue (eg. browser, Java control panel, security settings) or the Java plug-in is blocked by the browser. Try restarting your browser before trying to verify the installation again, and check that the browser allows Java to run.

Edit: Just found this

If it is so, then something must be wrong with your system or with settings.

Sometimes it happens if Firefox User Data (profile) has been damaged. Then helps if you delete all except the Bookmarks.

Firefox does not need to be reinstalled, about it does not depend on anything.

I reset FF (didn't work)

I deleted the profile (didn't work)

Unistalled FF

I deleted the Mozilla foler in roaming profile

Rebooted

Ran CCleaner

Ran Windows 10 Magaer cleaner

Reinstalled FF

Still doesn't work

This Connection is Untrusted or the site loads the text version

Java doesn't work with x64 version of firefox which is a NPAPI plugin. Same goes for Silverlight, etc.

I had a similar problem. I tried to login the Fiferox Sync and was surprised with "This connection is untrusted" error message, but the cause of this was the filtering https-protocol in the AdGuard.

If you are using Adguard 5.xx, you need to ban https filtering. Otherwise, do not work in Firefox, Opera, etc.

.Then you have to give up of it, may to believe is that it requires renewal by the authors. And will work after some days.

When I reset my firefox profile it removed all add-ons and extensions I had installed

I was using UBlock Origin and am using Kaspersky SS

The only sites I am having propbels loading are Google and Yahoo

I did not have any probems when I was using Waterfox

I have not found any other sites having problems so far

*********

I found the problem

I disabled Kaspersky SS and it is working properly now

I guess I have to figure out what the problem with Kaspersky is???

If so, then check out these pages with another browser and wait a few days.

Lately, a lot of strange things happening on the Internet. As I have already told somewhere before, many servers do not meet at all or is very slow at last few weeks.

Perhaps this is also linked to the problems of the servers.

PS, this does not mean that everyone has problems, it may be regional problem.

Exactly! After disabling the option everything returned to normal. ;)

Gets stranger. If its really FF64 why does it need java x86 installed? I removed FF x86 and the x64 runs great, then I uninstalled java x86 leaving the x64 version but sites say plugin missing.

For those who are using the 32bit version, just install the 64bit version, open it so that it's using your profile and then uninstall normally the 32bit version, your settings, addons, etc. will be retained.

Works perfectly fine with Win7 x64. Install, reboot and uninstall 32-bit version. Thanks for the heads-up.

Roboform seems not supported in the 64-bit version and/or the patch for it does not work. Program reported trial license expired and when reinstalling Roboform running 64-bit version you're not able to check Firefox integration. Back to the 32-bit version. It's dead easy to switch back.

Removed Waterfox and deleted folder

Installed FF x64 and ran CCleaner

Rebooted

Cannot open any google pages including search, maps and youtube

Also he search box at the top doesn't work (default search is google)

Getting same error on all therse pages

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.google.ca, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

Also Pages on Yahoo are not rendering properly.

Other HTTPS pages are loading ok

Not impressed with FF 64 bit so far

Any one else having issues like this?

When I use Hide All IP ,google does not open

"This Connection is Untrusted" error message appears - What to do?

The problem is with the digital certificates. I am using Kaspersky IS 2016 that caused this problem, to resolve this:

1. Close all the current browsers.

2. Open Kaspersky.

3. Go to Settings --> Additional --> Network.

4. Under Network --> Encrypted connection scanning, click advanced settings, and then click Install Certificate.

5. After that, open IE (not sure why it didn't install in firefox).

6. Go to Internet Options --> Content --> Certificates.

7. Under Trusted Root Certification Authorities, you'd see a Kasperky Anti-Virus Personal Root Certificate, Click on it and click Export.

8. Export in DER (.CER) format on the desktop (or anywhere you want).

9. Now open Firefox.

10. Go to Advanced --> Certificates --> View Certificates.

11. Click on Import and select the certificate you saved from IE.

12. VOILA! It should work.

Sorry, not mess. it is much more than a mess.

There is nothing strange or wrong. But it is quite another thing - why you must have Java installed?

Why and when do you use it?

Or, you don't know particularly distinguish between what it means to have javascript enabled and Java is installed?

NB! None of the usual user does not need to install Java, Java is required only in a very few cases.
