Hello,
Although Windows update is correctly set "Search for the update and let me me choose to download and install...", I have no updates notification and my Windows 7 (family premium) is not updated for some time.
Moreover, when I run windows update after nearly 15 min of search, the system returns "Can't find update. Error Code 8024000E.
I'll appreciate any help
Regards

This is the typical error (in some cases of course). Usually is missing or damaged Intel Rapid Storage Driver.
Go to this page and install the appropriate driver for you.
Of course, before you will install is good to uninstall the old one, if it is there at all.

If this is not enough, and the error still occurs, can continue talking. There may be also some other reason.

Last week, I had to reinstall from scratch 3 PCs, with Win 7.

Two were AMD CPUs, one was Intel.

Each time, it took more than one hour of time between the first request to look for the first batch of updates and the moment it found them and displaid the details.

Once found, the upgrades were quickly done.

I've also had to "force" the updates on other Windows 7 machines, else nothing was spontaneously intalled/upgraded.

So, it might be µ$, as there could be less update servers, or a maneuvre to push people to move to 10 [Just getting paranoid, sometimes :s ]

Hope it will do for you.

NX all for yr answers, unfortunately it doesn't help (yet).

@Israeli Eagle: Shalom, that what I did first (disabled AntiVirus and Firewall) without success.

@clubhouse: I run FixIt Automatically reset Windows Update components without success.

@Kalju: iata_cd.exe not available anymore at Intel. I installed v12.00.49974 but not help.

I also installed WindowsUpdateAgent (x64) (couldn't run it using the /wuforce switch)

By launching again Windows Update, I got error C80003FA (see here bellow image 2) So, I installed Windows Update Troubleshooter it fixe some problems except "Error Windows update 0x8024402C (see here bellow image 3)

Any idea???

Regards

Then there are the wisest to do a new and clean installation.

Keep only your files and folders, but not any of the settings.
Otherwise you will search this mistake for very long time and the result is still faulty Windows.

I came to this conclusion several years ago - when the Windows 7 was only appeared.
Windows troubleshooting is only a waste of time.

totally agree with Kalju. it may 2 save a lot of time.
@ coucou

how about cmd (from admin)-sfc /scannow first, then reset windows update ,disable AV& Firewall & try one more time with clear boot?

your problem discussed here (Russian) ,can translate if u'll need to.

@gipsy: I ran -sfc /scannow here bellow the result

Start of the phase of verification of the analysis of the system.
100% verification is complete.
Windows resource protection found files damaged, but
failed to repai
r them all. Details are included in the log
CBS. Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log1

@Whi5t1eR: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 Fix Windows corruption errors by using the DISM or System Update Readiness tool... works :D

Congratualtion

BTW, here bellow image shows when no update and when update OK

Anyway, as I got many crash (blue screen) I'm going to do a new and clean installation. But I was curious to know why I had no more updates. Now I know ;)
