WinRAR is a powerful archive manager providing complete support for RAR and ZIP archives and is able to unpack CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, ACE, UUE, BZ2, JAR, ISO, 7Z, Z archives. Its RAR format may only take second place for its level of compression – but it is consistently the fastest when it comes to both packing and unpacking files. While RAR files are not native to Windows or Mac, many other compression programs are still capable of unpacking it. WinRAR is available on Windows, OSX, and Linux, despite the name.

Select language and enter 53b6*

If not available in your language: english will be downloaded (result can be localized if previous was).

Extract and run WinRARPortable.

You must be connected to Internet during extraction: installer will download setup to extract files (Arabic, Armenian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese Brazilian, Romanian, Russian, Serbian Cyrillic, Serbian Latin, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Valencian, Vietnamese)

Settings of installed WinRAR should be preserved.

Important: Portable WinRAR, which is created online by PortableAppZ is not useful. For example, WinRAR process items does not appear in the right-click context menus.

This problem can not be resolved, even if you choose portable WinRAR as the default program.

But you will not experience the problem above, if you create yourself a portable WinRAR as follows:

Extract the setup file of WinRAR to any folder using an extractor (e.g. 7-Zip) and run the program once (double-click on WinRAR.exe). That's it.

(The process above also applies to create Portable 7-Zip)

If you add shell context menu its no longer portable so this defeats the purpose you may as well just install and its useful it lets you open up rars on pcs that don’t have winrar when working on them.. it also it will run in wine on Linux if you install it to a usb drive on windows. :P

This is wrong: If you delete the folder portable WinRAR, contex menu disappear instantly.

(I am using portable software, to not enlarge the system partition size)

Adding context to portable you may as well install it if its not contained in paf or some other format it will cause hidden folders . The reason people use portables are so they don’t leave leftovers all in the reg and all over there pc. Winrar is not native portable it leaves hidden folders .
