When patching with UUK, the driver won't have its digital certificate validated. Then when patching with DSEO, the certificate should be there and it should be signed by NGO. I've made several mistakes like that in the past, sometimes the patch wouldn't remove the protection, other times it wouldn't apply the correct certificate and fail at start. As for the DMCA, yes..hackers may not care (and there are ways to overcome that.) , but companies such as this forum who don't take measures to protect license content are subject to legal ramifications.
