locked harddisk but utorrent is still downoading to the locked disk

hai friends i have universal sheild installed and i locked my one of the disks in the same disk there is a game downloading , i have locked the harddisk now but the utorrent is sti downloading the game i dont understand why,i have kept another torrent in the same disk it showing error that acess to the disk failed , but why the game torrent is still downloading file , iam tensed that the downloaded file may get corrupt

If u want it to stop why not just hit the stop?

Anyway, the following must be happening:

uTorrent was downloading to another location that was not locked.

uTorrent had the file still opened and when u used this app it keep writing to the hard disk.

uTorrent was in fact saving the file to the ram instead of the hard disk, in this case it should eventually try to move to disk after some time.

Files that are still downloading will never get "corrupt" in the sense that it would make the file not work after the download was finished, if there is any error in the file u can just use the option to "force-check" right above advanced in the right click option.

If any piece of the file doesn't match the signature uTorrent will downloading that piece again.

PS: I don't know how universal shield work, but I would guess that it may only lock files that are not opened, that would explain why one of your downloads stopped.(because it had multiple files, or because uTorrent briefly stopped the access and tried reopen the file later)

What he said I agree with theruan. I havent used universal shield before and cant give a opinion on it do you have any screenshots that can help us in diagnosing the problem your having. When it goes to me helping people if I get a image of the problem that is happening I can help out alot better.
