Hi all

I just want to be 100% sure on this. According to what I've read it will work.

Gigabyte support say they don't want to guarantee anything. But Google says it's fine.

I have a gigabyte radeon hd 7950 and was thinking to link it to a gigabyte R9 280X. I could get my exact same card, but if it works, I'd rather get a little bit better, even if my current card causes a bit of a bottleneck.

I assume I'd put the R9 280X in the primary slot..

So this setup will work?

I have enough power (1050w).

Not interested in the current "good" cards as they're expensive and I found a good deal on a used one, so I'd like to just give my current setup a little boost.
