Information needed is relative to the question presented. Usually if it is a software issue then you would need to provide information about the software in question, along with your OS. If it concerns hardware then you would need information regarding your hardware.. UNLESS the question itself is about a general subject like Miracast.. in which you would still need to provide OS, Hardware and possibly even model of your computer...

The first sentence really says it all.. AND most importantly before making an inquiry.. Do a search online for a solution to the best of your ability using a search engine and also search the forums as well. This can help provide an answer to you without redundancy and possibly even put your query in a Topic which pertains to it.. Members who have contributed to that Topic will be notified of a response and it is likely someone with that knowledge will reply or ask more questions to better assist you..

In a few instances searching the forum may not render specific results nor can some things be searched.. for example items which have three letters in the search string... or results may not render a solution.. Then it would be advised to start a new Topic under the Forums which best describes the subject in question.. i.e.... Hardware/Software... and it is best to look at these areas before posting and to look in sub-forums as well to see if one exist pertaining to.. before creating a Topic for discussion.

AND be mindful of the Forum FAQ.. and Posting Rules that are available in said Forums..

I think that's it.. :P Somebody correct me if I missed anything...
