tarekma7 Posted October 11, 2015 Share Posted October 11, 2015 I have windows 8 pro with media center 64 bitI have uninstalled office 2013 pro plus and used the tool for complete removalthen reboot and successful installed office 2016 pro plusnow windows update sent me office 2013 updates [4 updates]I installed them but after restart the same updates appear again although successfully installed with no errorsI did windows update reset with the same 4 updates keeps appearingany solution? Dodel Posted October 12, 2015 Share Posted October 12, 2015 also, try this (will force windows to re-check for updates & stop the same updates being applied at shutdown) :-Open command prompt (elevated) &1 - net stop bits2 - net stop wuauserv3 - Rename this folder : C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to SoftwareDistribution(old) [you can browse in explorer and rename, as it's no longer locked]4 - net start bits5 - net start wuauservReboot, check for updates.
