HX1
Okay so curiosity got the best of me today, I have an HDMI output on the back of my NAS. The Manual stated that it was not supported so I ignored it for a long time.. It also has several working USB ports, (3.0 and 2.0), SATA2 connections, Dual Network cards... ANYWAY.. I decided to hook it up to my TV and reboot today... this is what I got ( sorry for the crappy photo no way to clearly get a screenshot ) This came up and I am wondering if any of you with experience with NAS could shed some light on the matter.. This reminded me of a login on a LINUX system ( which is the base of the OS on the NAS )... Wondering if the NAS supports Keyboard USB... and if these ports would be used for recovery of the system if a RESET + Start ( booting into recovery options ) for the device failed for some reason or did not complete the task. Any input would be nice.
debebee
It is just a video port for your NAS where you can type console commands (like LINUX)nothing more... yes it would be likely support a USB keyboard for inputI'd personally prefer the remote webmin access route when configuring the NAS
