Batu69
Though he might be persuaded to do it for enough money Daniel Bond is the kind of guy who doesn’t beat about the bush. He loves to make movies, whether indies or big budget productions like the upcoming “SPECTRE,” but he will not mince his words when it comes to talking about the things that bother him the most about being such an in-demand star. If you know and appreciate this in him, his new interview with Time Out London will be a pleasure to read, because he’s not holding back on anything. That includes on who “should” play the next James Bond, whether he could be tempted to do another movie in the series and what he could be tempted with, and how he feels at the end of a very grueling 8-month shoot across the globe. Daniel Craig is done with James Bond, for now Though reports online claim that Daniel Craig is still tied to the James Bond franchise for at least another installment, he says that he would rather “break this glass and slash [his] wrists” than think about it right now. He insists he’s not coming back to the franchise, adding in the next breath “for at least a year or two.” He wants to move on from James Bond and feels like he’s had more than his fill with the role already, but he doesn’t rule out coming back “for the money.” Craig is nothing if not honest. “I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on,” he says. “I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the [hell] knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything.” It’s not that he’s complaining of being part of one of the most successful film series in the world or of the money and opportunities that the role brought him. It’s just that working on each James Bond movie is a very exhausting experience, made even more so by the long and busy promotional tour. Craig would probably handle the actual production better if it weren’t for the promo tour, as he finds interacting with the media and the fans to the extent that is required of him a drag. Next James Bond should “do it better” He says he doesn’t care who will be chosen as the next James Bond, not because he is indifferent to the franchise but because he feels, justly so, that he has no say in the matter. If his opinion is irrelevant, he doesn’t want to give it. However, he would like it if the next Bond, whoever he might be, did it “better.” This franchise is an amazing thing, one that’s been going from strength to strength with each new release, and it would be a shame if his replacement didn’t do his best to make it even better. “SPECTRE” opens in the UK on October 26 and in the US and other territories on November 6, 2015.
