Karamjit
Top tech CEOs met with Indian PM the last weekendBashing tech companies seems to be everyone's hobby these days, and Microsoft is often the preferred target, sometime with a reason, but very often without one. For example, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella, who replaced Steve Ballmer at the helm of the software giant in early 2014, is now being accused by some people online of insulting the Prime Minister of India because he wiped his hands clean after a handshake. The video below, which attracted more than 50,000 views in just 24 hours, is supposed to show Nadella's outrageous behavior after a handshake with PM Narendra Modi. The two, as well as several other top tech CEOs, met on Saturday to discuss their plans to expand businesses in India, but also to find ways for the government to support this expansion. It's just a habit, for God's sakeIf you're a Microsoft enthusiast who has watched at least one company keynote after Satya Nadella's arrival in the top seat at the software giant, you surely know that this is just a habit and nothing more. He does that a lot in almost every single keynote, and although sometime might be inappropriate, as it happened in this case, it's not in any way sign of an insult. Plus, Satya Nadella was born in Hyderabad, India, so why on Earth would he want to insult the Prime Minister of the country he grew up in with such a gesture? So claims like the ones below are nothing more than ridiculous and extremely exaggerate: “Obviously, on seeing it at first, every Indian will be filled with rage and fury since it shows Satya Nadella insulting PM of India. Why did Nadella do this? Does it show that he takes PM of a country like India in poor light or were Modi’s hands dirty?” From
