totoymola
I have a bunch of pictures that I want to use in a slideshow. I also have an mp3 that I want to play while the slideshow is playing. Finally, I want to convert the slideshow with music into a video file.I already tried Windows Movie Maker, but I don't think it is the best software for this task.Any software recommendations guys? totoymola
Let me restate the scenario in a different way. I have a music that I want to convert into a video file, and I want to show some pictures like a slideshow while the music is playing. What is a good software for accomplishing this? funkyy
I've used Wondershare SlideShow Maker a few times. In fact I used it this year to make a couple of video slideshows for some family members. It has a good selection of transition effects, it's easy to add your own music to complement the pictures you're showing, and you can add text in different colours to the images. Transition times of the images can also be set by you. It doesn't over-complicate things and the results are excellent...at least my family were impressed. Hope that helps. HX1
Seems Like...Microsoft Office 2016 PowerPoint... as well.. mp4 and wmv output..Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Audition...Prelude..Sony Vegas, Movie Studio, Sound Forge...It has been quite awhile since I have used Sony Products but I have created DVD's with navigation so on with this software in the past.in fact you just reminded me I need to get latest versions and install..The only thing I have problems with is QuickTime formats which I refuse to install codecs for.. :)There are some nice apps for Lumia products that will do the job.. I haven't tried PowerPoint 2016. I have it, and I will install it later. The Adobe and Sony programs you mentioned have very steep learning curve. :D I just installed Adobe Premiere Elements 14. I will play with it later.Which of those softwares is the easiest to use?

HX1
Office 2016 PowerPoint is going to be the simplest to use... the others may require other knowledge in creation of video files..Powerpoint will allow you to use a template and insert your pics and you select the sound or music file.. exports and can be saved directly after all editing text backgrounds amd so on as a video file.. and your done.. funkyy
@totoymola...Yes, Wondershare DVD Slideshow Builder Deluxe. I have version 6.1.13 installed. I had used an earlier version way back in 2006 or 2007 and it was easy to use. Now they have improved it...more variety and better transitions for example. If I remember correctly the one thing that had me puzzled was when I was trying to change the transition time from the default...it didn't seem to coincide with the offered dialogue box, instead you just click on the space between the photos on the project bar and you can make the desired time adjustments. Apart from that it's "noob proof" lol
funkyy
P.S. After you complete your slideshow the final stage allows you to add a custom menu and to convert your finished project to DVD ready for burning onto a disc.
totoymola
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I just installed PowerPoint 2016 and Adobe Premiere Elements 14. I just downloaded Wondershare.DVD.Slideshow.Builder.Deluxe.6.2.0.0. I am still trying to find Magix Photostory 2015. I just want an easy to use software because I don't have patience to master a complicated software for this one-time task. :D
