App settings!

Or simply use OpenVPN directly without any app. B)

That is not what I asked.

Oh yes, you did! App = Application = Program

Really....... Every program has settings! :duh:

Sometimes also only in the registry tho.

And CG has also some CMD options: https://support.cyberghostvpn.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/653/174/cyberghost-command-line-interface

He asked a question about how to get a message to stop popping up and you post none sense simply to up the numbers of post's you have WOW NO he didnt and you didnt help with what he asked. If the solution is in "app settings" where in app settings is it and is it that all he has to do to keep the message from popping up. Do you use cyberghost wouldnt surprise me if you dont and if you dont why not help him by looking up information about his problem. Is the Cyberghost service started and set to automatic? If so let me look as I do use cyberghost and Ill see if I can help you with this.

He wants to use cyberghost recommending a different vpn is not a solution lets hope that command line option works (then again hes getting a message as if something isnt started the message popup shows cyberghost isnt started for yuou to be able to /min to) . Oh and for your information you said and again yet you never specified to use cmd line option /min you just showed him there were command line options *FACE PALM*.

1. I use CG already months without their application!!!!! Because of that I can do much more! :P

2. In post #4 I gave you a link with all CMD options. You cannot read?!?

3. Real computer nerds also know really what a computer is and how to program it! :lmao:

I would say you know what your talking about I would be lying the fact that you use openvpn shows you dont use cyberghost he doesnt want help with openvpn you should be providing better technical support not trolling. The cmd options show /min thats right is that necessarily what he needs to remove a popup that says the program is not started for him to minimize to begin with. I havent seen you help this user yet he doesnt want to minimise the popup he wants to get rid of it (besides why use command line switch to minimize when the option to start minimised is in setting's) FACE PALM. Bruinator sounds like cyberghost is set to start when windows starts but the service is not started. You can access app settings in cyberghost look at the top right hand corner and click on the gear symbol in the general tab shows startup if you wish to minimise cyberghost check start minimised this is not going to fix the message you got as it states something is not started.

That is not clearly enough?

26ijMPb.jpg

Means... Only the notification icon stays and the (too big) application runs.

Otherwise better learn how to use OpenVPN! :coolwink:

You dont need to use command line the option is in settings which I showed him how to access unlike you. He wants to get rid of the message for the nineth time not minimise the program something isnt started is that clear for you.

Of late, I have been wondering — why has helping certain folks become such a thankless job . . . . . . why do people lack the most basic of courtesy to even acknowledge someone who was just trying to help them? yXZVmpE.gif

Well said Dcs18. I think sometimes there is a lot of hubris and competition among some members who try to show themselves as the smartest person on the forum. Competition is healthy, but as you say, it shouldn't rear it's ugly head when someone is just asking for help. I try to learn from some of the problems that are solved on this site, and there are a lot of unselfish people who give really good advice..God bless them all!! lol ;) ;) ;)

Post # 15 begets a well-deserved post # 2 — this is what causes helpful people to grow selfish (sorry guys — but, please don't fight over him.)

Not really, because what message at all? You mean an error, a splash when starting or what? Try to talk clearly!

Screenshots also help sometimes...

I dont think Im the smartest person in the forum I just dislike users that dont see what I see they may pay attention not the right amount and miss something (I admit I can be hyper sensitive) and when I see a different user which obviously knows what there talking about or appears to know what there talking about to a degree yet it totally looks like there trying to up the number of post's they have when they should concentrate on helping better (again hyper sensitive).

I hate to say this IE but Holmes is exactly right. However, I do appreciate your responses. I might try PIA. I hope CG reimeberses me.

If you mix bad applications then you get even more bad results. For example both (PIA and CG) install per default ooooold OpenVPN versions. And usually also add some more bad services...

PrivateInternetAccess and cyberghost are not bad applications several users on these forums use them. My cyberghost VPN just updated and I dont know which openvpn version it is running but Ill check. You dont necessarily need to give up cyberghost just post a screenshot of what is going on (ill be honest I work better if someone gives me a image of a error I always tell my friends to take a screenshot). It does sound like the service isnt started.

About the bad CG Service (CGVPNCliService)... Is a problem already since 2008 actually, was never 100% fixed. And totally useless mostly anyway, only blocks some more useful functions of OpenVPN.

So... Try to use it without all their software, only OpenVPN itself!

PIA and CG servers are both good, but CG is much faster and PIA has an upload limit around 3mbit (no idea why).

But both applications are shitty and useless anyway...

I have always wondered why people waste time asking for help when 99% of the time they could google it and have an answer within a minute. A board full of noobs is the last place I would ever ask for help with a computer problem.

Well it doesnt look like bruinator wants additional help and I did wonder that myself he could have just went to google what if he did and now hes posting here asking the many brilliant minds here for help. A board full of noobs is not as horrible as a board full of trolls.
