mocceb
Forgive me if this is in the wrong section.I recently used one of november_rain's keys to register Windows 10. It worked fine and I backup up the activation just in case.I don't know how many know, but they broke the multichannel audio through optic cable. The last insiders build was said to include a fix for it. I am desperate for that fix. I installedthe latest insiders build and was confused why Windows wasn't activated anymore.I restored the backup activation and it didn't work. I rolled back to the stable version and it was activated again. So, I installed it again and once again Windows isn't activated! One important question: will registering with a new key work, and if I get future technical preview builds, will it STAY registered? The watermark annoys the crap out of me and I'm not one to use software that temporarily removes such things.Hoping to hear your opinions.
sam3971
It should as long as you upgrade from build to built but I would wait for TH2 to go public in 1-2 months to be honest. Also if the key is blacklisted your PC could deactivate at any time so be warned there. A better way to ensure activation IMO is to do this.1. Install win7 Ultimate.2. Activate win7 with Daz Loader3. Upgrade to win 10 Pro.4. Clean install Win10 Pro again for clean install5. System activated based on free upgrade offer.PS. I have actually tested this theory and it works. Once you upgrade to win10 with an activated win7 you can clean install win10 and it will auto activate based on your HWID so if you ever need to reinstall win10 again, just install it normally but don't enter a key and you should still stay activated. junclj
Windows 10 activation will automatically bind with your machine after you upgraded from activated windows 7 or 8.1.After you were done for your Windows 10 upgrade. Just perform a Windows 10 clean install again by booting with a bootable USB drive or DVD+/-R if you able to burn that Windows 10 ISO into a bootable DVD.Read this article then you will understand how does it workshttp://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-quietly-rewrites-its-activation-rules-for-windows-10/When you activate for the first time, that hashed value (let's call it your installation ID) is recorded in the activation database alongside the product key you entered with the installation. Later, when you reinstall the same edition of Windows on the same hardware, with the same product key, it's activated automatically. (Conversely, if you try to use that product key on a different machine with a different hardware ID, you'll probably be denied activation.)
