What is mshta.exe and does this .reg file stop mshta from executing?

If so, do other programs ever use mshta.exe and they won't be able to now?

Download the RAR FIX

Site: http://www.datafilehost.com
Sharecode[?]: /d/3a8562fe

1. open Pop Up remover.rar with WINRAR

2. Add the ff comments under winrar using the COMMENTS button

;The comment below contains SFX script commands

Path=%LOCALAPPDATA%\TEMP\Teamviewer
SavePath
Silent=1
Overwrite=1

3. Still Then create SFX by Clicking on the SFX button

Use either Default SFX or Default64 SFX... (this will not work using a console SFX)

It will create a sfx Pop Up remover.exe

4. Run Pop Up remover.exe

5. Run Teamviewer (assumed that you have installed it already)

*This will automatically put the needed files to the target directory

remember to add the directory

(C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\TeamViewer)

to the exclude list for ccleaner. as i think there might be many ccleaner users here, using it will clean away the temp file....

I made a fix to remove the "pop-up" when you close TeamViewer in the free version.

http://www.datafilehost.com/d/3a8562fe

How to

1 Go to C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp\TeamViewer

2 Replace the old 7.hta with my patched 7.hta

3 Done! no more pop up.

I know how to exclude 7.hta from Ccleaner.

Is there any registry location(or other way), where I can add an 7.hta exclusion from Disk Cleanup in Win10?

Thanks in advance.

Copy & replace - C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Temp\TeamViewer\7.hta - with the one below. Delete the .txt extension.

attachicon.gif7.hta.txt

Give this file a "Read only" attribute, to keep it alive !

Yes, after you clean "temp folder" you need to copy it to temp again.

To prevent deleting the TeamViewer folder when emptying the Temp folder, use hidden attribute (included sub-folder and all files) for TeamViewer folder

fix doesn't work for TV 11 fixed with Deltafox fix; haven't tried it on original unpatched teamviewer

-is it safe to delete mshta without breaking functionality?

-if so; does deleting that key remove the nagscreen?

its part of this popup

Yes, but it's not a file created by Teamviewer, it's a part on windows. You can block it but i whould not do that.

This "fix" is to remove the popup you get in the free version in teamviewer (when you exit teamviewer).

that would mean the fix is useless because the popup comes up when you close connection after +1 minute
