Yes, 2016. it is a PITA. Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Since you are a registered user, have you thought about going to Kaspersky and asking them how to get rid of it. Oh, maybe you really aren't a registered licensed user which is why you are really asking here instead of asking the developer?

1st one dont work and the 2nd one is a virus. THX A LOT KANTRY. I appreciate it.a$$hole.

It is not virus instead of using .reg you can manually edit the registry read the instruction below about how to edit .reg manual way.

Edit:

Instruction:
1. Disable Self-Defense [setting > Additional > Self-Defence] - Unchecked
2. Exit Kaspersky from Taskbar
4. Start menu ---- Run ----Regedit ---- go to the location and ass .reg value like below:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KasperskyLab\AVP16.0.0]"LastLicenseNotificationTime"="1800000000"

4. Run Kaspersky then Enable Self-Defense
