CMOSPWD is really old. If you look at the list of laptops it supports they are 14-15 years old and no longer in service. There are key code generators for some of the newer versions of Dells floating around but basically if there isn't a jumper on the motherboard to reset the bios you are out of luck on modern laptops. This is a security feature. All of the laptop vendors I have dealt with will reset it for you if you return the laptop to them, at which time they verify the legal owner. There are other ways to do this but you have to be a recognized, certified, forensic examiner in performance of your duties with a law enforcement organization.

You can also pull the backup battery out the laptop.

You disconnect the power adapter and normal battery.

Remove the battery inside the laptop (is a small circle shape battery inside the laptop)

Sometimes theres also a clear CMOS jumper on the laptop.
