CPU Grey--Process Lasso

Recommended Posts

When using the latest version of Process Lasso, I've noticed that one of my cpu bars will go grey from time to time. I have a dual core processor. Is this bad?

If you mean the CPU bars on the top right side of the screen, it is a function called core parking.

In my opinion, core parking is indeed bad for performance, but there is a very simple solution to this: Choose the Bitsum Highest Performance Power Plan, from the Main > Active Power Profile menu.

This will deactivate core parking and frequency scaling, making your CPU work at 100% of its capacity at all times. Do have in mind, that by working always at a full clock speed, the CPU temperature will go up a little bit...

Yes, by the screenshot it is exactly that: Core Parking.

Just enable the Bitsum Highest Performance Power Plan and you are good to go.

But it says right by the cpu usage that I am using that.

Ok, lets try this: Options > Configure CPU Core Parking, and disable core parking and Freq Scaling AC and DC

Have you tried to close Process Lasso and run it again, as an administrator? (right click and select run as administrator)

Tried running it as an admin, but I get the same error message that I am a limited user. I thought that Process Lasso ran as admin by default anyway.
