i recently done my HDD from MBR to GPT. and altered setting in BIOS (lagacy with UEFI). i then installed windows 10 64Bit pro. after installation, i saw that my HDD drives are not functioning. i emptied a drive and formated again then it became functional. but i can't format other drives as these are huge in size and data will be lost. moreover when i ran Hirens bootcd then no program showed these partitions functional. help please

I dunno if it´s your case but Hirens BootCD is very old and dont recognize GPT partitions, but if you wanna to see alls them need use Easeus Partition Server edition, or to use the own MS partition manager

Are the other HDDs (those not functioning) formatted as Dynamic or Basic? A screenshot of your disk Management drives would help.

ya ya these drives are formatted in Basic. i tried to convert these basic into Dynamic but was afraid of data loss lying in these drives. any suggestion will be welcomed. but keep in mind one thing......i don't want to lose my data. i have no flash drive to empty my HDD drives.

How many hard drives you have attached to your computer. I think the mbr should work with gpt. I have windows 8.1 pro installed on my laptop with gpt and when I attach portable hard drives having mbr it recognises them without any problem.

so should be the case with extra hard drives
