Tested: How Flash destroys your browser's performance

Last month, the axe seemingly came down on Adobe Flash:

three undiscovered vulnerabilities in Flash were leaked and exploited.

In response, Mozilla’s Firefox blocked Flash by default until Adobe issued a patch.

You should know by now that installing Flash equals a security risk.

But are you aware of how badly your PC can slow down as well?

Very good info.. I´m not a FF user, anyway...

...The flash plugin is also a vulnerability that can be exploited and a major perfomance issue on Chromium browsers -- Google Chrome and other forks --

For Chrome users, they can add the following command on chrome´s shortcut..: " --enable-internal-flash " ( without quotes )

to minimize those security and perfomance issues....

Greets...!

Try 80 percent.

There is zero impact, if Adblock Plus is configured correctly. B)

Nevertheless, flash needs to die - however, some sites won't work without flash.

Now if the stragglers using Flash for video players die/convert to HTML5, then the only other Flash I need, is to use the Flash settings manager if I enable Flash but use a blocker to whitelist Flash for a few sites.

The site I hot-linked is one of the most popular sites — I would like to see them embrace HTML5, instead.
