A friend of me bought a lenovo A6000 plus smartphone. I thought it would be better than my Asus zenfone 5 as the lenovo one has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core SoC where the Asus zenfone has a x86 Intel Atom Z2520 dual core SoC. Both phones have 2GB of RAM. But the Lenovo one doesn't feel fast and fluid as Zenfone 5 does. I won't blame Qualcomm because the 410 SoC is way better than Intel Z2520.

It's all on you lenovo???

I have lenovo (T61), and I like lenovo enterprise product.

ThinkPad is clearly different line of product - they wouldn't dare to mess up with its community.

Hmm. My T61 says Thinkpad on the front of it, so does my T52 and Yoga (enterprise version). They are still Stinkpads, only they stink worse since Lenovo bought the line from IBM. Had to use them at school because they got them cheap but Lenovo hardware is crap, lost count of the number of docks we had fail. Monitors come with only VGA cables, docks with multiple video ports but only one can be used at time, etc. Really cheap crap.

Yep, it is. Its quality is degrading overtime since Lenovo takes over, but what choices do we have? I hear they will bring the old school ThinkPad - once again, to put Lenovo's so called "improvement" to shame, so here's hoping http://blog.lenovo.com/en/blog/retro-thinkpad-time-machine/

I had the T42 ThinkPad — was of IBM origin (returned me great service until it got burned down in a domestic fire.) Those were the good old days. F3h9xqz.gif

  • 2 weeks later...

As a novice, I must wonder if one had, eg., an Acronis Image of their cleaned system,

and, reformatted and installed the image, if this root kit issue would still be applicable ??

Many Thanks in advance for your knowledgeable answer... :)

interesting article, but a minor issue compared to the US spying on all countries, including their allies !

2 wrongs don't make a right :/

so we should rightly condemn windows 10 privacy invasion, and now this lenovo crap.
